Citibank Robbed In Palm Springs, Suspect Sought

PALM SPRINGS, CA — The Citibank location at 1675 E. Palm Canyon Drive in Palm Springs was held up Thursday afternoon, and police were searching for the suspect. The Palm Springs Police Department tweeted shortly before 4 p.m. that the branch had just been robbed. Police described the suspect as a Hispanic man, about 5-feet, 8-inches tall with a medium build, wearing a black baseball hat, gray long-sleeve shirt, blue jeans, and a black gaiter-style face covering. According to police, the man was armed with a handgun, which he displayed during the robbery. No suspect photos were immediately available, police said. There was no word on how much money was stolen, or whether there was a getaway vehicle. Anyone with information can contact the Palm Springs Police Department or call 911.
