Description

PITTSBURGH, PA —Nearly six months after three people died when a car slammed into a Manchester plasma donation center, an investigation has concluded that the deadly event was intentional. The Pittsburgh Police Collision Investigation Unit and Allegheny County Medical Examiner's Office made that determination in the June 12 collision at Biomat USA in the 1300 block of Western Avenue. The driver of the vehicle, Ronald Morgan, 50, died of thermal and inhalation injuries; his manner of death was ruled a suicide. The crash also killed two plasma center employees: Parveena Begum Abdul, 55, and Laura Elaine Meneskie, 35. Their manner of death was determined to be homicide, but no charges can be filed in the case because Morgan is dead. Be the first to know what's happening in your community and region.
