Press release from the City of Mission Viejo: December 2, 2021 The City of Mission Viejo is seeking lifeguards of all ages for year-round work at the recreation centers. Older adults, retirees, college students and athletes looking for rewarding part-time work are encouraged to apply. Lifeguard positions are assigned to the Montanoso or Sierra Recreation and Fitness Centers. Lifeguards work during pool hours and special events. The hourly rate starts at $16.50 and is contingent based on experience. The job also offers a bonus up to $250 for working peak seasons. Certain requirements apply for both positions.
