NEW LENOX, IL — Christmas came early this year for the Lincoln-Way Area Business Women's Organization. The organization's annual Christmas Auction on Wednesday helped raise more than $16,000 toward providing scholarships for Lincoln-Way area high schools senior girls and adults seeking to continue their educations, according to LWABWO Publicity Chair Jennifer McManus.
"The LWABWO members and their guests were extra excited about this year's event after having missed a year due to the pandemic," McManus said. "We picked up right where we left off with the enthusiasm at a live auction. You could hear chants of 'it's for the girls' as some bidding wars ensued."
