On Nov. 30, 2021, defendant Ronyae Haywood was found guilty of two counts of second-degree murder for the deaths of Duane Henry Palmer Jr and Tyler Dalton Kline.
Defendant Angel Shavers and Haywood were both convicted of offering an assault weapon for sale.
On March 13, 2020 the defendants met with a group of men in San Leandro to sell an assault rifle. The deal for the gun was set up between defendant Shavers and Mr. Palmer. Mr. Palmer had met Shavers in her capacity as a saleswoman for cellphones. Apparently, their interaction with one another quickly progressed into negotiating a purchase and exchange of guns.
