The elves made their first appearance in the 1950s at the John Shillito & Co. department store, but haven't been seen in a few years. To celebrate their return, Findlay Market created Elves on Elder, a pop-up holiday experience for kids during the day with a fully stocked bar for adults at night. This weekend, Findlay is also hosting its annual Holiday Market, featuring dozens of merchants selling gifts, food, and dΓ©cor. (WKRC TV Cincinnati) A Cincinnati city council member accused of felony tampering with records for allegedly deleting text messages related to an ongoing investigation pleaded no contest to a misdemeanor charge of obstructing official business. Wendell Young was fined $100; he declined to comment during or after the hearing. The 76-year-old Democrat could have faced up to three years in prison if convicted on that count.
