Press release from the City of Fargo: 12/03/2021 Beginning at 10 a.m. on Saturday, December 4, residents and visitors to Downtown Fargo should expect closures in preparation for the 2021 Xcel Energy Holiday Lights Parade. The following closures will take place throughout the day: 2nd Ave. N from Broadway to 5th St. from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. 2nd Ave. N from Roberts Alley to Broadway from 1 p.m.- 9 p.m. Main Ave. and Broadway northbound from 4 p.m.- 9 p.m. Main Ave. and 4th St. from 5:45 p.m.- 9 p.m. Main Ave. and 2nd St. from 6 p.m. - 9 p.m. 6th Ave. N and Broadway from 6:15 - 9 p.m. There will be no parking allowed along the parade route beginning at 3 p.m. until 9 pm. Parade viewers coming to Downtown after 5:30 are encouraged to park in the Island Park ramp and view the parade from NP Avenue, a 2 block walk from the ramp. Additional provisions (such as concrete barricades) will be implemented across the parade route to ensure the safety of attendees.
