Apply at: Benefits: Competitive wages Paid Training Company uniforms provided OVERVIEW: The Equipment Operator (wastewater) will work as part of a team to provide a range of customized equipment and services for the collection and recycling or collection and disposal of spent aircraft de-icing fluid. Complementing these environmental programs is a suite of airport ground services and off-airport environmental programs. Inland Technologies is a full-service airport environmental compliance and ground support specialist. Core services include spent aircraft deicing fluid management and wastewater management programs, and manufacturing of aircraft deicing fluid and industrial glycol. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • Follow established guidelines for equipment operation within close proximity to airfield personnel, aircraft and other airfield equipment without interfering with aircraft movement. Aircraft always have the right-of-way • Promptly collect spent aircraft deice fluid, avoiding the risk of fluid escape • Proper operation and maintenance of testing equipment • Monitor glycol processing equipment units to assure optimum production and efficiency • Maintain glycol processing equipment as per Inland’s maintenance manuals and SOP’s in order to perform any and all maintenance functions as directed by management • Perform product quality testing and ensure accurate reporting and accounting • Perform water quality testing and reporting in relation to SOP’s • Compliance with all environmental laws and permits • Perform quality assurance sampling of all production processes at regular intervals during shifts, by using correct sampling protocol as established by Inland SOP’s and to ensure that all samples are in-compliance with all written company and Government rules and regulations • Abide by Health and Safety principles by using issued and available safety equipment as required by SOP’s in the day-by-day operations of the facility • Keep all Inland owned or managed equipment, tools and materials in good working condition including keeping the aforementioned clean and in their assigned storage areas when not in use • Complete timely repairs, such as replacing parts, blowers, plumbing new lines and re-plumbing old lines, installing valves, meters, sensors, etc. • Work cooperatively with airport authority and outside contractor(s) while representing yourself in the best image for the company • Escort non-security badge holding personnel in accordance with airport written escorting procedures • Ensure that the processing equipment and associated recycling equipment are continually inspected and maintained in proactive manner • Perform truck transfer operations which include both loading and unloading of tankers, and transfers of fluid between tanks • Assist in glycol recovery operations • Diligently execute any and all other job-related duties assigned by management. Required Skills and Experience: • Ability to read, write, speak and communicate effectively • Ability to interpret documents including safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals • Ability to safely operate a motorized vehicle in inclement weather • General mechanical competence and ability to effectively use hand tools • Ability to maintain a positive and good-natured attitude • Ability to remain calm and perform under pressure and within fixed time constraints. Certifications/Licenses: • High school diploma or equivalent; • Valid US Driver’s License; • Driving record that meets Company insurance standards. Work Environment: • Frequent exposure to prevalent weather conditions while working outdoors. Physical Demands: • The position involves sitting and standing for extended periods of time as well as lifting bending, kneeling, climbing, using hands to control tools and feel objects, reaching with hands and arms. May be necessary to work at heights up to 40 feet. The ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: • Fully-Time and Part-time Seasonal available. Flexible schedules, are required for this 24/7 plant operations Travel: • No travel associated with this position Security Clearance: • Must be able to pass 10-year background check for airport security clearance; • Provide most recent Drivers Abstract (clean driving record).
