About this position SeeScan is searching for a Software Engineer with strong math/science skills to help us in our mission to create a robust, highly accurate utility locating and mapping platform. In this position, you will work primarily on navigation algorithm development, including GNSS and inertial navigation. This position allows for some remote work. In this position, you will • Collaborate with a team of engineers to develop ideas at a systems level • Develop position estimation and inertial navigation algorithms for deployment on embedded and non-embedded systems • Develop and verify the algorithms that are needed for applying carrier phase measurements for high precision applications • Design cm-level GNSS positioning algorithms with a focus on robustness and reliability • Work on signal and image processing About you • High aptitude for math/science • Independent worker and creative thinker; able to work through challenging problems and create solutions • Strong leadership potential • Hands-on attitude towards testing • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate Skills and experience • Knowledge of common techniques like complementary filters and Kalman filters • Demonstrated ability to leverage math against real-world problems using statistical techniques • Experience with C++ • Helpful to have: Experience with navigation systems and algorithms, including GNSS and INS • Helpful to have: Matlab experience Education • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Physics, Engineering, or related — a Master’s degree is a plus About SeeScan Modern life depends on the infrastructure that brings water, electricity, gas, and communications to our homes and businesses.
