Missing! Gray male cat

Our cat is missing! His name is casper and He is an indoor/outdoor cat who is very friendly. Usually, he is free to come and go as he pleases though, he came home with a note and collar attached to him a few weeks ago. We then started keeping him inside because we were afraid someone would think he is homeless and try to keep him. He gets very restless when we keep him inside and so of course, he escaped the second he seen an open door. He is almost always home by bedtime when he leaves and he has not come home in a week now! We have looked on every local page and site every day and have been driving around the neighborhood looking for him and we have not been able to find him. He would not just not come back. He is gray and tan with green eyes and he is a big fur ball. He was wearing a gray and black collar with skulls on it. He is not chipped and we were preparing to have him chipped soon after the collar situation because he chews his collars off and we have not been able to keep one on him since he was a kitten.
