Job Description: Building Maintenance/Repair Services Technician Intersection’s R&M Services Technician is responsible for maintaining and upgrading managed properties via work orders approved by Real Estate Managers, landlords and tenants. The Services Technician will: • Possess the ability to operate a motor vehicle for the purpose of visiting managed properties. • Perform maintenance, grounds and repair work to buildings and properties, including carpentry, roofing, interior finishes, parking lots and general building upkeep. Minor mechanical and electrical repairs as needed. • Responsible for the completion of all maintenance service requests as assigned by the field operations manager • Record activities in project software upon completing of each job including time and expense tracking. • Complete payroll time sheets and mileage reimbursement and submit to supervisor. • Responsible for alerting clients of any unusual occurrence and/or damage that may have taken place or that may occur. Seek opportunities to expand the range of services including general property maintenance. • Maintain a professional courteous manner with all tenants, vendors, clients, & fellow employees. • Comply with all company, local, City, State and OSHA guidelines. • Ensure compliance of all work-related activities in a fair, ethical, and consistent manner. • Communicate safety issues to our staff and vendors; communicates liability issues to our clients. • Ensure that equipment and supplies are maintained in a safe, operable/usable condition and/or arrange for their replacement. The Building Service Technician possesses: • A valid driver’s license. • High School Diploma or GED equivalent. 2+ years of experience in commercial facilities and building repairs and maintenance. • Knowledge of proper safety techniques and procedures. Basic first aid skills and CPR. • Basic tools set. Skill in the operation of hand tools and equipment common to the construction trades. • Computer skills and ability to learn new technologies. • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions, and work with co-workers and clients. • Good communication skills, both oral and written. • A professional demeanor. • Confidence, ambition, self-motivation and the ability to work independently. Physical Requirements: • Constant need (100% During Production time) to be on feet • Can bend/stoop/squat/kneel, push or pull • Climb Stairs • Reach over Shoulder • Grasp/grip/tuning • Lifting, carrying - o 75-150 lbs- Rare o 25-75 lbs- Occasional o 1-25 lbs-Constant NOTE: Lifting and carrying of weights exceeding 50 lbs. is often accomplished with assistance from one or more persons and while wearing the required, appropriate safety equipment.
