Pedestrian Counters - three day gig

Jobs

121 SW Salmon, Portland OR

Description

Thank you for your interest in being a pedestrian counter! The counts are conducted on a semiannual basis. The purpose of this research is to track foot traffic that passes in front of Downtown retail space.   This is a three-day project.  We do the count on December 10, 11, 12 and are ideally looking for people that can work all three days.   We have two shifts (or potentially one long shift) 6:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. ; 1 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. (The long shifts 6:30 a.m. - 7:30 p.m.) Pedestrian Counters meet at the World Trade Center, pick up chairs, counters, and clipboards. They walk to their assigned Downtown location.  Remain seated counting until relieved for breaks and lunches.  Counters need to be able to carry 25lbs (chairs and counter, etc..!), navigate to their assigned locations (2 - 10-blocks away), and are outdoors for the duration of their shift.
