Gumbo is a beautiful and sociable 2 year old male cat that we unfortunately have to rehome. We recently welcomed a baby and simply do not have the time that Gumbo needs and deserves. He is so kind and sweet. He is extremely playful and often gets the zoomies which is a lot of fun, and we have a bunch of toys that he loves that we hope he can take with him. He LOVES to be brushed and pet. He's not much of a lap cat, though he does like to be picked up and carried around like a baby from time to time and he is a big fan of sitting next to us, on the couch, the desk, the bed, etc. and he has a cat tower that he likes to lay in. He's definitely respectful of space and likes to do his own thing quite often. His favorite spots are by the window so he can birdwatch. Gumbo is 100% litterbox trained, and we have never had any issues with smell. He's not neutered, but we have never experienced any kind of spray or territorial marking. We have no other cats or pets so we cannot speak to his behavior around other animals. Our baby is a few months old and while somewhat curious, Gumbo is mostly disinterested and has never shown any aggression towards the baby or us. We love him a lot, but we simply don't have the space or the time for him anymore. We've been trying to make it work but you can tell he's feeling lonely and it's breaking our heart so we hope someone else can welcome him in and he can feel appreciated again. We'll ask a rehoming fee but can discuss waiving this for someone who is interested and able to pick him up as we are carless, and Gumbo will come with a ton of toys and his brush, dry food, some cans of wet cat food, two boxes of arm and hammer multicat litter, a water fountain that he LOVES so much (otherwise he wants to drink out of the faucet), a container of catnip, his cat tower, and his carrier. If anything were to ever change we are 100% willing to take him back, so please don't hesitate. If interested, please contact Elly by email.
