Description
I've had the pleasure of helping someone in early stages of dimentia and really enjoyed it. The person I was able to spend time with went into a memory care home and when I heard the crazy amount of money they charge, I thought perhaps there is a need for in-home care for highly functioning memory care or elderly people that can't afford the luxury of these facilities. Most times the children are overwhelmed seeing to their loved ones needs and that is where I would like to offer my services.
I used to do home childcare years ago when my children were young and now they are all grown. I wanted to see if anyone is looking for elderly companionship for their loved one to include any of the following: Take for walks, shopping, run errands, go to lunch, light workout with hand weights, etc., help with chores around the house or just someone to talk to. I am a high-energy person and love to keep busy. I love to garden, work outside, feed the birds, can tidy up ones home or wash some clothes, etc. and would love to help your loved one still be able to do these types of things with assistance.
I am available a couple hours per weekday (prefer no weekends or evenings) and am not looking for a PCA type/FT position. Just someone that can stop in or take them out once a week, a couple of times per week, etc. Please let me know if you'd like further information by replying to this post. Thank you!
FYI - The photo is a generic picture of a younger person helping an elderly woman (it's not me)
