Looking for support animal

I am a Military Veteran looking for a small companion support animal. My wife and I are a retired couple, living in a retirement community with a very small unfenced yard. A dog that is comfortable on a leash is necessary. We are both home most days, family travels includes our pet, not left at home. We are looking for a “lap pet” that will have the run of the house with no other pets or smoking. Due to physical impairments I use a power wheelchair so long walks can be done.
