Creative drummer and Bass player for Electronic Composers Group

Description

Seeking specific musicians. Above all, if creativity, musicianship, and respect are priorities for you rather than getting paid, getting chicks, and being too cool, then this may be a fit. The Digital Republic is a loose association of musicians/composer for creative projects. Specifically, a drummer that is unconventional, has an electronic set (optional) or MIDI trigger pads (preferred) and a bass player that plays melodically and can solo for extended periods of interplay, can play 5 or 6 strings (optional), and is into MIDI triggering (preferred). There are 2 musicians at the bottom of this. One is a classical musician/composer and a writer who servers in a review/advisory capacity and plays and records at his choice. The other is a classically trained pianist turned synth jockey - electronic composer with several hundred electronic pieces recorded. Not looking to have people learn music already written. We are looking for open minded improvisational electronic minded approaches that leads to artistic projects including recording as a destination but digital video, real-time art performance with visual artist and animators, to do something very different, and very unique, and just put it out there in front of people and have the strength of being able to improvise beautifully and above all, have a great time. If interested let me send you a list of artist and songs to get thinking. Project time would be starting bright and early next year. If involved in this you might be involved with film projects, performance art, but primarily electronic based jamming and imrprovising. Reading music is not required, being familiar with basic chords and scales and able to play in a key without thinking is greatly preferred. We are in the 50's, 60's range with years of musical experience. Young players who are serious musicians are welcomed. Main thing, it's about creativity and playing your butt off. Feel free to respond, if you made it through all that.
