1 gallon bags of Live Oak leaves (leaf litter.) These are the same type of leaves sold by all of the major online vendors of reptile supplies. Great for naturalistic terrariums/vivariums and for feeding Isopods and/or Springtails. Leaf litter looks great in terrariums and it also provides hiding spaces for all of the inhabitants. Besides that, it also puts important nutrients back into the substrate as it breaks down, providing essential things that plants and microfauna need to really thrive. Can be used for 'blackwater' fish aquarium setups as well. These hand picked leaves have been collected from a pesticide, herbicide, litter, and debris free environment. They have also been kept in the freezer (for at least 1 week) to eliminate any potentially harmful pests/organisms. As an added measure, you can also either bake or boil the leaves prior to introducing them to your terrarium/vivarium/aquarium to further sterilize them. (This step is not really necessary, but doing this enables the leaves to break down faster and also makes them easier to consume/digest by the 'cleanup crew' bugs in your terrarium.) $10 for a full, one gallon ziploc bag.
