Description

Learn to use a palette knife or brush and acrylic paint to create an impressionist landscape painting at this all-day workshop at Glädje. Using a palette knife and/or brush, students will learn to use their imagination to create a spontaneous impressionistic/expressionistic landscape painting. The students will use their own photos or that of the instructor, mainly for inspiration and not as a primary reference. Spring boarding from their original thoughts and interpretation, students’ paintings will be their vision of the subject. The main focus will be on texture and design using basic composition theory and having fun in the process. Short demonstrations will be used to show specific techniques. Throughout the workshop, the instructor will discuss color, materials, techniques and marketing. This will be a very informal, fun workshop with lots of individual attention.
