Join us for our FREE TBRI® workshop focused on Connecting Principles.
Join us for an informative workshop specifically exploring TBRI® Connecting Principles hosted by Isaiah 61 Foundation of Ada. Trust-Based Relational Intervention® (TBRI®) is a holistic approach that is multi-disciplinary, flexible, attachment-centered, and challenging. Founded by Dr. Karen Purvis and Dr. David Cross, founders of the Institute of Child Development, TBRI® is an evidence-based, trauma-informed intervention that is specifically designed for children who come from hard places. Children within these hard places can be experiencing anything from maltreatment, abuse, and neglect to multiple home placements, and violence. Although these principles have mainly been applied to dealing with trauma in children, you'll see that they can be applied to all children from any background. Strong attachment relationships between a child and caregiver are an essential part of any child's development, but they can also greatly impact a child's healing process. By helping caregivers understand what should have happened in early development, TBRI® principles guide children and youth back to their natural development trajectory.
