Must enjoy working around animals and be able to demonstrate a commitment to excellence. Responsibilities include: -Use and care of heavy equipment. -Knowledge of which equipment to use for each job and correct use of same. -Must be able to cut grass, use a weed eater, clean stalls, maintain barns, maintain the rings, maintain the irrigation system, assist with set-up and take down of shows, maintain cleanliness of Announcer’s Tower and Pavilion, including all restrooms, and maintain roads and parking areas adjacent to complex. -Take down shows and cleanup. -Must be available to work flexible hours including, but not limited to, early mornings, late evenings, weekends and holidays. -Knowledge of applicable safety procedures. -Various duties as assigned Full time employees of the Florida State Fair enjoy such benefits as Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance, Paid Term Life and Short Term Disability, Paid Time Off and a match on our retirement plan after a year of service.
