DESCRIPTION: The winter garden is very much alive! Come see and hear just how much this land abounds with wildlife! After an enthusiastic response to our first birding offering - thank you! - we are excited to present an additional round with local birder Jennifer Murray. Participants will explore ornithology in the diverse botanical grounds of the Landcraft Garden Foundation. This 90-minute workshop builds birding skills from mnemonics to understanding bird behavior. Murray will help participants identify common backyard birds and our “winter residents.” We will also search for less common birds from Brown Creepers to Bald Eagles. Participants will be led through the grounds on an exploration using sight and sound, then invited to find a quiet spot in the gardens or native meadows to observe birds from the ground to the sky! Come join us for this educational and sensory experience. The workshop is open to 15 participants (12+). Binoculars are optional.
