Join us for a celebration of Black hair artistry. We will open at 4 for an informal reception, with the show beginning at 5. Rafiki Shop and Black Owned Maine teamed up in October 2021 to create and faciliate a hair braiding and entrepreurship course. This course is the only one to exist within 100 miles of Portland. Our students have been working extremely hard and are ready to show off their skills. This event serves as the graduation ceremony for our students, as well as a showcase for the program itself. Join us for a celebration of Black hair artistry. The night will commence as follows: 4 PM: Doors open 5 PM: Lights will be turned off and the show will begin 7 PM: Show will end. Your ticket will include a box of handmade African snacks, as well as a beverage of your choice. The event will be in both English and French, Please note: This is a ticketed event. Event participants and their plus one will be allowed free admission. We also have five tickets available for press. Everyone else must purchase a ticket. Please have your digital ticket ready to show the door person. Tickets will be sold at the door if space allows. We look forward to hosting you!
