Enjoy a simple soup meal and help raise funds for 3 local organizations who are addressing food insecurities in our community! *Please make note of the date of the event before purchasing your tickets! The locations are listed in date order from Sunday, February 20th through Saturday, February 26th with the meal time for that site*There is a wonderful grassroots movement called "Empty Bowls" growing around the country with a mission to feed the hungry, disadvantaged and homeless. It's based on the international Empty Bowls program. In Clarksville, volunteers paint and donate bowls, which are chosen to take home after a fundraiser meal of soup and bread. These bowls serve as reminders of empty bowls in our community. Empty Bowls Clarksville supports Loaves & Fishes, Urban Ministries and The Food Initiative, three non-profit organizations working to feed the Clarksville's hungry. Empty Bowls Clarksville is committed to raising the awareness of hunger in our community, and this goal is achieved through bowl-painting parties during the year, and the fundraising meal in February each year. We are thrilled to offer multiple dates and locations for this years event! Please join us in 2022! There are 9 locations to choose from: The Bridge: Dinner 4:30-7pm on Sunday, Feb. 20th Trinity Episcopal : Lunch 11am-1pm on Tuesday, Feb. 22nd New Providence United Methodist: Lunch 11am- 1pm on Tuesday, Feb. 22nd Grace Lutheran: Lunch 11am-1pm on Tuesday, Feb. 22nd Sango United Methodist :Dinner 4:30-7pm on Tuesday, Feb. 22nd The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints : Dinner 4:30-7pm on Tuesday, Feb. 22nd First Presbyterian: Dinner 4:30-7pm on Tuesday, Feb. 22nd "South of the River" :Dinner one location (hosted by: Salem UMC, Lone Oak Baptist, Palmyra UMC, Mt. Zion UMC & Marion UMC) 4:30-7pm on Tuesday, Feb. 22nd Hilldale United Methodist: Lunch 11am-1pm on Saturday, Feb. 26th *Each location site has the authority to change their in-person meal to a drive-thru event closer to the event date in the case of rising cases of COVID19. Empty Bowls Clarksville is a grassroots effort to fight hunger locally. Proceeds raised from the event benefit Loaves And Fishes, Urban Ministries Clarksville, and The Food Initiative in Clarksville, TN.
