Ross HX Texas City, TX 77590 Job Description Position: Shop Manager Industry: Sales and Services in the Plate and Frame Heat Exchanger industry. We are looking for an enthusiastic shop manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our service center, grow our staff, and ensure our customers receive excellent service, communication, and solutions. The shop manager's responsibilities include overseeing in shop jobs, on site work inside customers facilities, enforcing company policies and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. To be successful as a shop manager you should have excellent people management skills and a good understanding of business operations. An outstanding shop manager should be able to ensure the smooth operations and maximum profitability of a shop. Shop Manager Responsibilities: • Hiring, training, supervising, and evaluating employees. • Addressing employee disputes, questions, and concerns. • Ensuring all staff adhere to safety standards, company policies, and procedures • Ordering, recording, and managing inventory. • Ensuring the shop is adequately stocked, clean, and visually appealing. • Motivating employees to reach goals and provide excellent customer service. • Handling customer complaints. Shop Manager Requirements: • High school diploma/GED required. • Available to travel as necessary. • Able to lift at least 50lbs. • Bilingual is not required but preferred. • Familiar with hand tools such as impact wrenches and sockets. • Forklift certified. • Mechanically inclined is a must. • Strong leadership and management skills. • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. • Good interpersonal and conflict resolution skills. • Strong customer focus and decision-making skills. • Have or obtain OSHA 30 within six months of hire.
