Driller’s Assistant should be an individual that must have mechanical skills, be familiar with performing machine maintenance, and previous experience with welding is helpful. The selected individual must also have the ability to work well with other staff members, have good written and verbal communication skills, be able to follow safety guidelines, and demonstrate potential and motivation through actions in their work. This position requires the individual to capable of heavy lifting (75-100 lbs.), and to be able to work under adverse weather conditions. Other duties may be assigned as necessary. Minimum Qualifications/Requirements: Must be able to operate a manual transmission Must have an acceptable driving record — · Often requires working long hours while lifting heavy objects and staying on your feet · We are a 4 season Geotech operation. You will be outside in all types of weather · Requires occasional travel and staying out of town · Will be required to work nights based on job specifics · Keep accurate field logs, collect soil samples, and report to supervising engineer · Will be expected to maintain, clean, and repair drill rigs and assigned vehicles as needed · General administrative duties such as submitting expense reports and time sheets
