Purpose: The Roof Repair Technician is responsible for performing roof repairs, roof warranties, special inspections and assists the Production Department with any specialty jobs. The Roof Repair Technician reports directly to the Production Supervisor but is in communication every day with the Repair Production Coordinator. Direction and supervision of construction sites. Communication with customers on the day of the roof install, communication with subcontractor roofing crews to make sure that they meet KangaRoof expectations during the roof install. Education and Experience: No formal educational credential. Experience in roofing. Short-term on-the-job training Knowledge: Production and Processing - Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective installation of materials. Building and Construction - Knowledge of materials, methods, and the tools involved in the construction or repair of houses, and/or buildings. Customer and Personal Service - Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction. Safety and Security - Knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies to promote effective local, state, or national security operations for the protection of people, data, property, and institutions. Mechanical - Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance. Goals & Responsibilities: 1. Constant communication with the Repair Production Coordinator 2. Complete roofing repairs in a timely manner 3. Assess damage on roofs and come up with solutions 4. Assist Production Department with specialty jobs and come up with solutions. 5. Follow instructions provided by the Repair Production Coordinator. 6. Follow up with repair checklists all the time. 7. Communicate the arrival time with the customer. 8. Pick up materials at warehouse or at the supply house if needed. 9. Enter all the notes in JobNimbus so the office always knows the status of the job. 10. Take pictures of before, during, and after repairs. 11. Communicate with the Production coordinators if there is an issue, any missing material, customer concerns, or any other thing that the office needs to be aware of. 12. Complete a clean-up after the completion of the repair. Climb ladders Able to climb on 1 and 2 story roofs. Sometimes 3 story roofs (limited). Active Drivers License. Job Type: Full time. Work times: will vary but ranges from 6:00 am to 7:00 pm. Weekend work: Only as requested. Wages type: Hourly Wages: $25.00 - $30.00 / hour Average hours: Minimum 40 hours a week. Overtime available as needed. Work context: Active, requires constant movement. Climbing up and down ladders and roofs. Use of tools.
