Free Event - Kayaks provided. Guided short kayak paddling tour over to Bryant Park’s “Bird Island” restoration site. FREE EVENTThis is a guided short kayak paddling tour over to Bryant Park’s “Bird Island” restoration site. This fun, service event will help maintain the islands as a good nesting site for American Oystercatchers and other birds. The last crop of babies for this season have fledged, so it’s a safe time to do some weeding. Participants will be instructed on the basics of paddling and boating safety. We will then pack up buckets and bags and paddle to Bryant’s Bird Island. We will be clearing trash and pulling vegetation to maintain a clean and open habitat so these protected birds can return to nest, forage and raise their young next season! You will get wet and dirty! Please wear close-toed water shoes, sunscreen, hat and outerwear that is appropriate for the weather. Don’t forget your reusable water bottle! ERM will provide water, gloves, bags, buckets, shovels and enthusiastic, knowledgeable tour guides and KAYAKS!  Restrooms available at Bryant Park.  We will meet at south end of Bryant Park Pier -169 S Golfview Rd, Lake Worth, FL south end of Bryant Park) in Lake Worth.
