PEABODY, MA — The Peabody Health Department will host a pair of coronavirus vaccination booster clinics at the Council on Aging.
The clinics will run on Dec. 8 and Dec. 22 at the Central Street location.
The shots are free regardless of insurance, but pre-registration is required.
Residents can register here.
Public health officials are urging eligible residents to get their booster shots amid rapidly rising cases in the state and the looming emergence of the omicron variant.
The positive test rate in Massachusetts topped 5 percent on Wednesday — the highest the rate has been since February.
Anyone 18 years old or older who has received a second Pfizer or Moderna shot at least six months ago, or a Johnson & Johnson at least two moths ago, is eligible for the booster.
