COPIAGUE, NY — A fiery car flew onto a Copiague homeowner's lawn following a four-vehicle crash on Wednesday night, Suffolk police said.
A Chevrolet SUV driven by a man rear-ended the vehicle in front of it at 8:39 p.m. on Great Neck Road near Dixon Avenue, police said. Two other vehicles were rear-ended in the chain reaction, police said.
The Chevrolet veered off the road, stopped on a home's lawn and became fully engulfed in flames, police said. Multiple fire departments and ambulance companies went to the home.
All four drivers were treated for injuries that were not life-threatening at local hospitals, police said.
