Award winning Oakland based landscape company is looking for a talented crewleader with a Minimum of 2 years experience in commercial or residential maintenance. MAINTENANCE CREW LEADER REQUIREMENTS : California driver's license - licensed driver for 5 years minimum Clean driving record Fluent English written and verbal Physically fit; ability to lift 50 lbs Preferred 3 years experience commercial and residential maintenance Preferred 2 years experience supervising others QUALIFICATIONS - Salary range is $18-$25 based on knowledge of the following qualifications: Education and experience Fluent in the English language both written and verbal Knowledge of Cal OSHA rules and regulations Horticultural practices (lawns, shrub and tree pruning fertilizing, crew procedures, etc) Plant Identification Ability to enhance the look of a garden Ability to manage a large commercial site Pest Identification and knowledge of solutions, including the use of IPM Pesticide applicator's license / Bay Friendly certified Experience in training crew members Soil and site analysis for plant health Knowledge of proper use and maintenance of power tools Irrigation repairs and troubleshooting (valves, laterals, wiring) Ability to set most controllers including smart clocks Leadership and good communication Knowledge of good safety practices Problem solver and self supervising Equipment care and maintenance Smart phone and use of aps
