I am a Stanford PhD student conducting a research project to understand how people think about pregnancy and childbirth. Adult women planning their first birth are invited to begin participation during their first or second trimester. Participants will be interviewed twice (once before and once after birth) and will fill out some short surveys. Participants will receive $20 in compensation after completing the second interview. Some participants will be asked to join an additional (paid) observation component of the study. Interviews are confidential and typically last 1-2 hours. They will be conducted in-person or over videochat. Audio will be recorded and transcribed. Please contact me if you would like to participate or have any questions!
