Press release from the Baltimore County Police Department: December 01, 2021 On November 30, 2021, at 5:28 p.m., detectives from the Baltimore County Police Department attempted to arrest the driver of a stolen vehicle in the 6900 block of Blanche Road. In an effort to elude police, the driver of the vehicle struck a police vehicle that was occupied by a detective. During the incident, one detective fired a single shot at the driver of the stolen vehicle. The driver was not injured and then surrendered to detectives at the scene. One detective was injured as a result of their vehicle being struck by the stolen vehicle. The detective was transported to a hospital for treatment and later released. The suspect is currently being held at the Baltimore County Detention Center without bond. This case remains part of an open investigation.
