Description
I've hammered my ears over the years before I got smart and started using earplugs. I've got tinnitus big time and need to dial the music down low.
I'm looking for: guitars, bassist, keyboard player, mandolin, fiddle, piano, organ, harmonica, percussion, and vocals. Amplified acoustic guitars welcome. Bring your small amps.
I'm a late bloomer on drums. I started at age 39 and have been playing for 25 years. I've played at Hopmonk, 19 Broadway, Ashkenaz, Connecticut Yankee, and Hellman Meadow in Golden Gate Park, among other venues. I've played with some top Bay Area players. My drum set is a nice Pearl kit that is sitting in my rehearsal studio not far from 116 in rural Forestville, just south of downtown.
My studio has a piano and organ, PA, percussion instruments, and a bass cab but no head.
My influences include Grateful Dead, Allman Brothers Band, String Cheese Incident, Little Feat, Neil Young, Bob Dylan, Tom Petty, Poor Man's Whiskey, roots rock, bluegrass, and even some jazz. I played hand drums in a traditional jazz band for a couple of years playing familiar jazz numbers.
Not looking to tour. This could be a casual social session, or it could be an occasional local gigging band. Prefer daytime and early evening shows over late night gigs. Festivals, fundraisers, vineyards, private parties, they're all good, but prefer to gig 1x/month or less.
Vaccinated players only.
Let's see where this road goes. TY.
