Press release from Johnson City: December 1, 2021 The City of Johnson City property taxes for 2021 are due by Friday, Dec. 31, 2021. Postmarks of Dec. 31 or earlier will be honored. Penalty and interest will begin to accrue on Friday, Jan. 1, 2022. Taxes may be paid at the Johnson City Municipal and Safety Building located at 601 E. Main St., weekdays from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. City offices will be closed Friday, Dec. 31, 2021 in recognition of the New Year's Day holiday. Payments may also be mailed to the City of Johnson City, P.O. Box 2227, Johnson City, TN 37605, made online at www.johnsoncitytn.org/propertytaxes for a fee or by phone at 877-768-5048 for a fee.
