Here are the top stories today in New Orleans: According to the New Orleans Police Department, this November set a new record for the highest ever recorded carjackings. (WWLTV.com) In a new turn in the Gordon Plaza dispute, the City of New Orleans has set aside 2 million dollars to have the land assessed as a potential solar farm, with no funding going towards helping Gordon Plaza residents. (WWNO) The New Orleans City Council has unanimously approved three actions that prohibit City Hall from being moved to the Municipal Auditorium. These bills also protect Congo Square and Louis Armstrong Park from any similar actions. (The Lens) The man who opened fire on Bourbon Street in 2014 had a resentencing hearing on Thursday.
