Hi my name is Damon Gibson, owner of Gibson Fence and Deck. We are a small high-end builder in West Seattle. We love what we do and take a lot of pride in our work. The philosophy I've built my business around is craftsmanship, learning and efficiency. Doing projects well makes for happy clients and a fun/rewarding workday. Most of my work comes from referrals and you can see from our reviews why. I often take on projects that have design challenges or use unusual and unique materials. This means that we'll always be learning new skills. With more standard projects we'll be working quickly to maximize productivity. Your pay (both starting out and going forward) will be directly linked to a list of skills and abilities that I've put together. Things like your competency on specific tools, clearly defined tasks that you'll utilize on common projects, proficiency and professional knowledge/leadership. You'll see a well defined path to move up in skill and proficiency and a corresponding advance in your hourly pay. You'll be encouraged and expected to advance as quickly as possible. We pay better than any other outfit in Seattle and like to work with intelligent, productive, competent and imaginative folks.
