Celebration of Christmas and the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ! Sign Up for the Parishes of St. Andrew, St. Mary, and St. Theresa Dear Friends, I know the year 2020 is one we'd all like to forget, and it's still not over, yet we know God has not abandoned us and continues to share blessings with us in the midst of the pandemic. Please take the time to give thanks and praise to God for being there for us. Some have already moved their thoughts ahead to Christmas and what the pandemic will mean to family customs and traditions. The same holds true for our parishes as to how and where we will celebrate the birth of our Savior. After much thought and prayer and consultation with my Amazing Parish group, we are going to start with FIVE masses, adding another if need be. The times and procedure to reserve a place is as follows: Christmas Eve 4:00 pm at St. Mary's and St. Andrew's6:00 pm at St. Mary's9:00 pm at St. Mary's Christmas Day 9:30 am at St. Mary's(Unfortunately with attendance restrictions and social distancing protocols, it is not viable to have a mass at St. Theresa's, since we could only seat 40 people) Because of the restrictions and protocols, mass participants will be limited at each service. You must register for mass and you will be given tickets sent to your email address or through the parish office, tickets which you must present to the usher when coming to mass. While this is so contrary to my beliefs and theology, to require someone to have a ticket to pray and worship, it is the only thing we can do in the midst of this pandemic. We cannot have 600 people showing up for a mass where only 150 people can attend. If all 5 masses fill up, we will add a 7:30 am on Christmas Day. While this is not the way you or I envisioned celebrating Christmas and the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ, we are limited by our desire to keep everyone as safe as possible. So I ask for your understanding and cooperation as we make the best of the situation. Let's continue to pray for a vaccine and/or cure. Wishing you all the blessings of the Advent season, Peace Fr. Tom
