Description
I am having to rehome one of our rescue geckos due to not enough space after moving. He is a giant leopard gecko about 12 inches from nose to tail tip, healthy no eating issues. He can be handled if you properly know how to and ensure he doesnt jump off of you, he likes sitting on shoulders. He weighs over 114 grams. He is a normal morph, unknown of age, estimates at 2 years old, leopard geckos can live up to 16-20 years in captivity with the proper care. He will only be going to someone with experience who knows how to properly house and care for geckos. He comes with a front opening exo terra that i havent been able to set up due to how big it is, currently he is in a 20 long that he wont come with as this was only for quarantine and its not big enough for him. He comes with 3-4 hides including his moist hide, on off thermostat for his che thats only used at night, a dimming fixture that you will need to get a thermostat for that is dimming for his day time heat source which is halogen bulbs. A temperature/humidity digital reader to know the temperature inside the tank. He will come with a few roaches until you can purchase more, he only eats dubias. He will also come with 3 small containers of calcium powder, calcium with d3, and multivitamin. As well as a calcium dish and water dish that stay inside the tank. He gets fed dubias once a week dusted in multivitamin or calcium with d3, these get rotated every 3rd feeding. These powders are important in ensuring a healthy gecko and that MBD does not develop. Any questions I can offer advice, help, and point you in the right direction to a facebook group that will continue helping with needs once you do recieve the gecko. If you have a set up already I require photos of the setup to make sure its a proper set up. And help you may need or questions about him I will be happy to answer. He is not free, including all he comes with the tank alone is over $200, a giant leopard gecko is more expensive than a normal as well. He will be rehomed for around $350 which includes everything he comes with and everything you need to start him off with. You will need a infrared temperature gun if you dont get a dimming thermostat for the day time bulb. This is to ensure the temperature is correct and that you arent going to kill the gecko by having it too cold or warm. Heating sources need to always be plugged into a thermostat, and the on/off thermostat is only compatible for Che [ceramic heat emitters] which are only used during nighttime. If you are interested I can provide photos of him, only serious inquiries only. If youd still like to get a gecko without having the proper knowledge I can teach you on how to care for them and set them up, etc. So you know how to properly care for them. Leopard geckos CAN NOT be co habbed with other geckos. Rarely can this be done properly, you need a ton of space. Just because something hasnt happened yet doesnt mean it wont and doesnt mean it is proper husbandry.
