Description
Press release from the City of Hopkins:
December 1, 2021
Did you know that organics take up about 30 percent of volume in our trash? Properly managing organics is beneficial to the environment and, when recycled correctly, this valuable resource can be used as compost in landscaping projects and construction. Learn the Do's and Don'ts of organics recycling at an information session on Thursday, December 9, from 4 to 5 p.m., at the Hopkins Activity Center.
During this training, residents will be able to ask questions, and learn how to divert organics from the waste stream, creating "black gold." Residents who attend the class and register for the curbside program will receive a two gallon countertop organics container (while supplies last).
