SOLANA BEACH, CA — The FBI is seeking the public's help in identifying a man who robbed a northern San Diego County bank Wednesday.
The robber approached a teller at the Union Bank branch office on Lomas Santa Fe Drive in Solana Beach and demanded money about 9:40 a.m., according to the FBI.
After the clerk gave the man an undisclosed amount of cash, the robber left the bank and drove off in a stolen vehicle, the FBI reported. Investigators later found the vehicle abandoned.
The robber was described as a 6-foot-tall heavyset man in his early 50s, according to the FBI. He was wearing a dark jumpsuit, dark gloves, dark shoes, dark neck gator, blue hat, safety glasses and an orange safety vest.
