JOB DESCRIPTION: Heartline Fitness Warehouse Installation Technicians are responsible for performing the activities related to loading, installing, and delivering the fitness equipment used by our commercial and residential customers. He/she will assume full responsibilities after completing a training period which will prepare him/her for the specific responsibilities outlined below. The Installer will report directly to the Operations Manager who will provide the necessary training and who will evaluate job performance in conjunction with the Director of Operations and Logistics. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Delivery/Installation Planning: Assist the Operations Manager in communicating with client personnel to identify all delivery and assembly requirements, including which equipment is involved and what timing requirements must be met. Assist the Operations Manager in determining what personnel, tools, and vehicles will be required to perform the delivery/installation and in scheduling them appropriately, including reserving and coordinating the pickup of rental trucks when necessary. Receiving and Loading Operations: Receive or direct the receipt of shipments. Communicate with the Operations Manager to resolve any problems that occur with shipments. Load the trucks for the installation. Examine the work order and ensure that the appropriate equipment is loaded onto the truck. Ensure that the load is properly secured on the truck. Perform Installation Operations: Drive the equipment to the site. Maintain all DOT documentation as required and secure proper documentation of all fuel expenditures. Communicate with the customer, unload the equipment, transport it into the facility and assemble it in accordance with the manufacturer’s specifications and the customers wishes. Assist the customer in selecting optimal placement and positioning of the equipment in association with Heartline designed layout. Instruct the customer on proper maintenance and use of the equipment. COMPENSATION/BENEFITS: The Installer is a FLSA non-exempt hourly position with a starting wage of $17.00 - $25.00 an hour depending on experience. The Installer is eligible for company benefits as described in the Employee Handbook. HOURS REQUIRED: The required hours are flexible to accommodate the specific scheduling requirements and overtime is available each week. The average work week is approximately 40 to 60 hours per week Monday through Friday. ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Ability to work independently with optimal time management Ability to read parts diagrams and diagnose technical equipment problems Ability to take initiative, ownership and prioritize tasks Ability to communicate and collaborate with customers, corporate staff, and manufacturers Ability to remain professional in terms of dress and interaction at all times while an agent of Heartline Fitness MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Prior moving and assembling experience Must pass a DOT physical Clean Driving Record 1+ Years’ experience driving with CDL/Non-CDL in 26’ Straight Truck Capable of lifting 50+ lbs. (Bending, lifting, squatting necessary to deliver, set-up and repair fitness equipment in all types of gym-like environments) Proficiency in verbal and written English. We are currently looking for motivated and goal oriented installation technician team lead for the Mid-Atlantic area (VA, MD, DC, PA, NJ, DE, NC, SC).This is a full-time position including benefits and paid training. All of our delivery techs start off as apprentices and then are moved to Delivery/Install Level I and then have the ability to be a team lead.
