Description
Warehouse associate is responsible for building loads for deliveries. In addition, must maintain a safe, clean and well-organized warehouse, load and unload doors, windows and/or building supplies, and operate a forklift. Other duties as assigned.
Warehouse associates are also responsible for providing excellent customer service while handling merchandise, unloading or loading trucks, and waiting on customers.
Responsibilities expected of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:
*Providing excellent customer service while handling merchandise, unloading or loading trucks, and waiting on customers.
*Accurately building loads and assisting customers with locating indicated products and loading.
*Loading materials into customers’ vehicles or onto company delivery vehicles, after validating type and quantity based on the loading documents while taking care not to damage the goods, equipment, or vehicles.
*Developing thorough expertise related to operation of the forklifts, warehouse lifts, pallet jacks, or other equipment utilized for product movement.
*Unloading incoming freight, taking care not to damage the incoming goods or the equipment.
*Identifying product shortages and out-of-stocks and reporting to store management.
*Maintaining warehouse maintenance in a clean and orderly condition.
You will be expected to follow any other job related instructions and to perform other job related duties as requested by management.
Position Qualifications:
Lumber and forklift experience is a plus, but not required.
Applicant must be a hard worker, self-starter and customer friendly.
Warehouse associates must protect company assets such as trucks and forklifts and must always act in a safe and professional manner.
This position pays $16+ based on experience
