Successful, fast-pace custom foam fabrication and coatings company in Los Angeles is seeking an entry level Assistant Project Manager. We specialize in resale of sculpting foam as well as one-off fabrications for films, commercials, festivals, theme parks, etc. RESPONSIBILITIES include but not limited to: * Plan, direct and coordinate projects to ensure on-time completions within budget. * Evaluate drawings and specifications to determine requirements necessary for project success. * Inspect work in progress to ensure conformity to specifications and schedules. * Project positive attitude while establishing effective professional relationships. * Forecast deficiencies and unrealistic expectations while identifying solutions. * Create and maintain fluid and effective project schedules. * Communicate and work closely with subcontractors and vendors. * Assist and work with production teams. * Proactively handle project issues and/or risks. * Manage manpower, expenses and costs to complete. REQUIREMENTS: * Effective oral and written communication skills. * Construction methods, terminology, and plan reading knowledge. * Aptitude for math. * Computer literate with skills in Microsoft Excel. * Willingness to learn trade software (i.e. Rhino, Coreldraw). * Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. * Critical thinker and problem solver. * Team player with a focused attention to detail. * Bachelor’s degree (Preferred) * No experience necessary, will train. WORK SCHEDULE: Full Time; Monday-Friday; 7am-4pm with availability as needed.
