A Tote Loader is responsible for receiving and sorting all fully packed totes to place in the proper area to prepare for the loading process. Technical Skills for a Tote Loader: -Physically lift all totes off a pallet and into proper station -Unwrap shrink wrap around totes -Remove plastic holder pieces around tote -Use a computer and barcode scanner to enter totes in and out of the tote module system -Identify any totes that do not scan properly -Insert dividers into totes -Safely operate a pallet jack General Skill for a Tote Loader: -Active Learning - Understanding the implication for both current and future problem-solving and decision-making. -Active Listening - Giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times. -Critical Thinking - Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems. -Problem Solving - Identify problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions. -Service Orientation - Actively looking for ways to help people. Experience & Requirements for a Tote Loader: -Must have the ability to stand 95% of the day in steel toed boots -Must have the ability to wear a face mask the entire shift -Must have the ability to bend, kneel, pull, reach, stretch and twist -Must have the ability to safely operate a pallet jack -Must have the ability to work in a Team Environment -Must have the ability to keep a clean and safe work space at all times, Safety First!
