Vacation Rental company in Miller Beach, IN looking for a reliable, experienced handyman to perform regular upkeep tasks, repairs, troubleshooting, light remodeling, and be "on-call" as needed. Responsibilities Basic drywall repair, interior, and exterior painting Electrical: Replace outlets, light fixtures, switch plate covers, outlets, GFCI’s, ceiling fans, and troubleshoot electrical issues Plumbing: Replace aerators, faucets, sinks, toilets, and shower controls, copper sweating/soldering Basic appliance troubleshooting, repair, and installation Check functionality of safety systems (e.g. fire alarm, carbon monoxide detector, security cameras, etc.) Follow preventative maintenance calendar to keep everything in working order, such as changing furnace filters, lightbulbs, tightening loose furniture/doorknobs, etc. Basic groundskeeping including snow blowing and shoveling in winter, lawn care in summer Assist with hot tub cleaning, testing, and maintenance This position reports directly to the Operations Manager Requirements Must have own basic tools Experience using hand and electrical tools Ability to read technical manuals and drawings Able to respond immediately to emergency "on call" repairs Flexible schedule required. This includes the ability to work primarily outside of standard business hours including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Must have a valid driver’s license and be insured Dependable vehicle required, truck or van preferred Must own Smartphone to communicate and access maintenance app Effective communicator, prompt, courteous and exhibit a customer service mentality Work well with other team members and follow instructions Must be able to lift 75 lbs High School diploma or equivalent Compensation Hourly pay starting at $20/hour Note: Before hiring, candidates will be subject to a background investigation, including criminal background and driving record.
