This program is geared towards helping students for their first steps towards independence.
Safe@Home by Safe Sitter® is a program designed for students in grades 4-6 to prepare them to be safe when they are home alone. A Safe@Home student booklet is required for each student, which can be picked up at Woman's Foundation after scheduling a pick up time with [email protected], our address is 4630 Ambassador Caffery Parkway, Suite 100, Building A, Lafayette, LA 70508. The book can also be mailed if you have registered by December 6, 2021.
Students without a booklet will not be eligible to participate.
Safe@Home is a 90-minute program that teaches students how to practice safe habits, how to prevent unsafe situations, and what to do when faced with dangers such as power failures or weather emergencies. Students are also introduced to the Safe Sitter® First Aid Chart and learn a system to help them assess and respond to injuries and illnesses.

The mission of Woman’s Foundation is to promote the total health and well-being of women and their families. By offering a variety of quality health and wellness programs, Woman’s Foundation strives to be a center of educational excellence. All classes offered by the Foundation are designed to help children and adolescents achieve a better understanding of self and surroundings which will lead to making good decisions and healthy choices that will ultimately result in happy and successful adults.
All of the classes offered by Woman’s Foundation are available during select times throughout the year at the Woman’s Foundation Classroom located at 4630 Ambassador Caffery Parkway, Building A, Suite 100. Classes are also available upon request, minimum attendance requirements apply.
