Week of the Family's San Carlos 'Tour de Family' Ride and Bike Safety Event Bring your family to Central Middles School (759 Cedar St) on bikes & wheels for a morning of riding, learning, coffee and donuts! Everyone welcome From 9AM - 12PM: Bike Safety Stations & Kids’ Riding Skills Practice Loop Open - Local bike shop volunteers will be on hand to help get bike tires aired up, chains lubed, seat height adjusted, teach flat repair & basic maintenance, and more. First 15 participants to register get a free bike mirror! -- On the blacktop riding practice loop kids can enjoy riding with friends while practicing safe biking skills (signaling, passing, yielding, stopping, communicating) At 10 AM - Tour de Family Ride Starts --Begins and ends at Central Middle School's front entrance, 759 Cedar St. --Route heads north on Cedar. then loops twice (clockwise) around our Bike Loops (Cedar --> Cherry --> Elm --> White Oak Way). Leisurely pace, parade-style, just over 2 miles, takes ~40 minutes. Pre-Registration: Events are all free, but pre-registration is appreciated for planning purposes (gotta have enough donuts !) Volunteers Needed: -- We need (6) corner captains from 10 -10:45am along the Bike Loops -- We need 5 -10 volunteers to supervise the Kids' Riding Skills Practice Loop to help remind kids to use hand signals, pass safely, and stop and yield appropriately.
