Description
Join PABJ for a Holiday Media Party that's going to be our biggest and jolliest yet! Philadelphia Association of Black Journalists in partnership with Visit Philadelphia invites you to a Holiday Soiree with music by DJ Aktive, a live painting demonstration by Shanina Dionna, and opportunities to purchase holiday gifts from Black-owned businesses. Guests will also be able to view the African American Museum in Philadelphia's current exhibition: Portals+Revelations: Richard J. Watson Beyond Realities. A delicious holiday dinner will be catered by Details by Ms. Dawn. There will be a lively holiday-themed cocktail open bar. Free admission for all of our guests thanks to the kind sponsorship of Visit Philadelphia. There is no mandatory dress code, but we strongly encourage festive, holiday attire. AAMP’s exhibitions promote our mission to interpret art, history and culture. They inspire, educate, promote dialogue, and bring together community. With four galleries to tour, we encourage guests to refrain from physically interacting with the art, rather we ask that you use your eyes and ears as we illuminate and explore the achievements and aspirations of African Americans from pre-colonial times to the current day. PLEASE NOTE: This is a PABJ Members-only event. Be sure to be an active, dues-paying member before RSVPing. Must be 21 years of age and/or over to attend.
