A free creative writing workshop led by Ryan Armstrong, USA Today bestselling author of multiple novels in different genres. A workshop meant to learn to write creatively, led by a successful author. We are a new group and will begin with writing love poems and letters for an imagined or real partner. Why? Because this is an easy way to lean into writing. WHO should join: Aspiring writers of ANY and ALL skill and experience levels (including novices) who want to learn to write and possibly publish their work. WHAT: Every week we will have a lesson on writing and homework to do. We will learn by practicing the craft. WHEN: Every other Wednesday from 7 pm to 10 pm WHERE: IHOP - Long Prairie Road: 2600 Long Prairie Rd Flower Mound, TX 75022 WHY: It will be fun, you will learn about the craft and eventually about the business of writing, you could make friends and there will be practical applications of what you learn that you can use in your life. HOW: Ryan (and later potentially guest mentors) will begin with a short and useful lesson followed by writing exercises and critique of work written by the group during the week. There will also be time to socialize.
