An educational workshop series designed for the aspiring athlete and mechanically curious bike riders. Join us as we begin a hands-on learning journey led by our experienced bike mechanics. Workshops will be held bi-weekly or as needed for Winter 2021-Spring 2022. December 16th, 2021 - Indoor Trainers and technical gadgets (Garmin, Zwift, Wahoo, Saris) December 30th, 2021 - Winter riding tips & hacks. How to stay warm while playing outside.January 6, 2022 - Derailleur adjustments, how to size your chain, broken chain repair, and master link use. January 20th, 2022 -Mountain bike suspension - What do all those knobs really do? Learn how to fine tune your suspension set up. **Bring your bike**February 3rd, 2022 - Flat tire repair for tubes and tubeless tires. Tools: tire levers, pumps, co2, patch kits, tubeless plugs, valve core, Cush core. **Bring your bike**February 17th, 2022 - Let's clean your bike! Squeeky chain? Squeeky brakes? We'll teach you how to clean your bike and what products, tools, and brushes we find helpful. March 2nd, 2022 - Bicycle Anatomy, Presta vs. Schrader valves, Bike tool familiarization (flat repair tools, multi-tools, chain repair tools, air pumps) Pre-biking safety checks. **Bring your bike**TBD - What's new for 2022? Geek out on the newest bikes, hacks and the must haves for 2022.When?Workshops will be held on a bi-weekly and as needed basis. Don't worry! If you miss one and there's enough interest to have it again, we'll do our best to accommodate. Why?Because creating and nurturing community through bikes is what we live for. How much?Each workshop requires a deposit of $10 that will be available to you as store credit during the course. Need a CO2 cartridge for the Flat repair workshop? Chain lube? The deposit also reserves your spot in the workshop. What's included? You'll be using tools, taking wheels off, greasing chains. Think of it as mechanic apprentice training so please dress accordingly.
